AKON can supply you with retractable welding curtains which will protect your operators in your floor workers from welding sparks. These welding curtains can be fabricated in several different dimensions to suit your application. They can retract from the top down, or they can retract horizontally from one side of a work cell to the opposite side. The fabric is designed to withstand the welding sparks and provide many years of worry-free use.

Retractable Welding Curtain Mounting Styles
The welding curtain can be mounted in several different fashions. One mounting style is to attach the welding screen to a vertical post. This then allows the welding curtain to swivel 360°, in addition to the up and down motion that it provides. This is ideal for applications where material has to be brought into the work area in a fairly frequent basis. Having the ability to swivel the curtain out of the way provides quicker turnarounds and less manhandling of the retractable welding curtain.Another mounting option is to have the weld curtain hanging down from above via chains or cables. In this scenario, the customer supplies the chains or the cables and attaches them to the roller guard assembly. This style is ideal for work areas where there has to be no obstructions mounted to the floor.
