High Temperature Robot Arm Covers

In addition to the fabric skirting there is also a line of high temperature robot arm covers available. These guards are generally used in furnace tending applications where the robot will be exposed to extreme temperatures. These high temperatures can damage critical components on the robot if they are not properly shielded.

For these applications the high temperature robot covers are manufactured from a combination of Hypalon and Aluminum coated Kevlar. With a maximum operating temperatures of 225°F and 1500°F respectively.

The Aluminum coated Kevlar can cover the full upper arm to the tool flange. The suits are quickly installed or removed using zippers that run the front of the lower arm/underside of the linear upper arm piece. Velcro sealed bellows at the waist and wrist will permit full robot work envelope reach.

Velcro attached panels are incorporated where cuts must be made to access connections or attach hardware. Steel pipe clamps are also supplied to secure the suit at the tool flange cuff which does not compromise the work envelope.
